We flew to Geneva which is on the west coast of Lake Geneva. We picked up a car there and drove to the east coast of Lake Geneva where our hotel, the Montreux Palace was. It was interesting that very few boats cruise the lake. While the hotel was on the lakefront, the gate to the waterfront was mostly locked. Why? For the last couple of days at the hotel, some high buck Arabs took most of the rooms on our floor, complete with armed guards. Never knew who they were, but we kept out of their way.
Switzerland has that look of affluence, something like California, complete with more graffiti that I would have expected. Switzerland is a mix of Italians, French and Swiss, with the French mostly near Lake Geneva.
