Sydney was absolutely the most impressive city in Australia. We had a conveniently located hotel right on Darling Harbor. There had to be 50 restaurants easily walked to that circled the Harbor. We started off with a dinner cruise on the harbor. We toured the Opera House but did not see any operas. The Opera House is used for a wide variety of shows. A few people climbed the Sydney Harbor Bridge, but it was rainy and cold and it did not look like fun to me.
We stopped by the world famous Bondi Beach for lunch and some instruction on how they save lives there. Pretty much like Baywatch! Waves tend to be very large there. We also toured the Blue Mountains. It took a bit of walking. The elevation gets up to about 4000 feet. Its rugged and very very scenic. On the last day we toured the Australian National Maritime Museum, most impressive were the three ships, especially th replica of the HMB Endeavor. This was a 1800's era sailing ship.
