The North Island journey went in this order: Auckland, Devonport, Rotorua. We saw the Glow Worms in Waitomo and went to a Nature Park. Auckland was a typical harbor port. Devonport was scenic, but shopping is not something you go to NZ for. Rotorua had geothermal features similar to Yellowstone but on a smaller scale.
