Claudette and I flew to Seattle, picked up a car then drove to Vancouver to stay at the Fairmont on Georgia Street. Our first stop was the Granville Island, then Gastown to see the famous Gassy Jack. later we piled the car on a ferry to Victoria Island. We ended with a very scenic drive to Whistler Mountain, site of the upcoming 2010 Winter Olympics. While there, we took the ski lift up to the Peak to Peak (Whistler to Blackcomb) gondola, which is probably a 1000 foot high off the ground near the mid point to the trip.
