Iguazu Falls

Feb 26-27, 2014

The Regent cruise started with a LAN airlines flight from SFO to Lima, Peru. The next flight, which was from Lima to Buenos Aires was 4 hours late. But while waiting we met Gary and Doris, who are from Reading, Pennsylvania. We spent many a dinner and excusion with these two during the cruise.

After landing in Buenos Aires, we stayed a night at the Sheraton in the downtown area. At the Sheraton we met two Australians, John and Nicole Smith. We spent many a dinner and excursion with them also. The next day we took a short flight to the Iguazu Falls National Forest. Iguazu occupies part of Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil. The flight landed in the Argentina side of the Falls, right smack in the middle of the rain forest. Again we stayed in a Sheraton, which was in clear site of the Iguazu Falls.

The first day at the Falls we walked in from the Sheraton. There were pathways that led us around the bottom of the Falls. We took a Zodiac boat ride right thru the Falls. The second day we took a path that led us around the top of the Falls. Can't do this at Niagara!
