Budapest

Aug 2006

Claudette, Deanna and Ron stayed at the world famous Hotel Gellert in Budapest. Its known for its hot springs, but the water was shut off for the last 2 days we were there. Flushing a toilet via a water bucket is not what we expected from a 5 star hotel. The city pictures look much better than the city really is, as its on the dingy side. Still, the war themed statues are unique to no other city in Europe.

The Danube is well known but no match for the Rhine. The Budapest Parliament building is much larger and impressive than you would expect in a small country.
