Claudette, Deanna and Ron flew out to Chicago for Dale's daughter's wedding but managed to fit in a visit with our Chicago friends. We started out in Aurora for the wedding where we talked to Dale and her husband Bob. Also got a chance to meet with Harpo and Christine Catherine, and Rose and Vince.
Anita, Claudette and Ron took a boat ride out from Navy Pier where we viewed the usual Lake Michigan fireworks display. On Sunday, we met a large group of friends at the Taste of Chicago, near Buckingham Fountain on the lake. Lil took the train in from Lake Geneva. Jim Marszalek, Mary and Nicole drove in from Burr Ridge. Jon Platakis and his new wife Svetlana drove in from the western suburbs. Deanna showed up a bit later. Most of us got a chance to see the new wing of the Art Institute which is a quick walk from the Taste.
